"First, it was just a personal thing," Dino said, about the Internet. "I almost found more on the Internet than what I found from my doctor. I had Bell's Palsy, which is this thing that paralyzes your face. It's like a nerve between your jaw and skull, right behind your ear, and it gets irritated. It's hereditary in my family.

"Anyway, certain things can cause it, so when it gets inflamed, it causes a side of your face to paralyze. It gets inflamed, and [the disease] stops signals from your brain from getting to your muscles. I went to the doctor and he said 'Oh yeah, it's Bell's Palsy. It will go away after a while, but it's no big deal. It will be gone in two months.' I couldn't talk, eat, drink. I had to drink out of a straw, and so on.

"So I looked on the Internet for information. Talked to other people who had it, other people who had gone through it. I couldn't believe it...my eye.... This person whom I was talking to said 'Buy an eye patch for when you sleep at night, so you don't scratch your eye.' That's something the doctor didn't tell me, so I went and got an eye patch. And [the person on the Internet] said 'Get some eye drops, since you can't blink your eyes. It's going to get really dry' ‹ something the doctor didn't tell me either. So I almost got more information on the Internet than did from my doctor."
