Regarding the soundtrack work you've done on the side, do you keep the music completely separate from Switchblade Symphony stuff? Do ideas you come up with working on one sometime end up being used in the other?

Susan: "'Bloody Knuckles,' I have a whole bunch of songs like that. What I do is try to turn it into a song like "Clown".It started out as the soundtrack to a cartoon that was going to be in Liquid Television and it was called 'The Flight.' It was a two minute claymation thing. That ended up becoming 'Clown.' 'Cocoon," also, is actually a really long instrumental piece. Usually I start out making it like a soundtrack. I like the movie 'Full Metal Jacket' a lot and I like to watch it and play along with it. The same with 'Dissolve,' I was watching 'Full Metal Jacket' and 'Platoon' when I did dissolve. I also have old spliced up pieces of war footage, stuff like that, that I like to watch. And I like to look at pictures. That's usually how I write, it's all a soundtrack to me."
