What got you into electronic music in the first place?

Casper:"For me personally it was going to raves and stuff in the early 90's. We lived in the Midlands, which is near Birmingham, and there used to be good rave clubs and they had free parties in the fields out around Oxford. So we used to just pile down there in our cars on the weekend. It was pretty radical at the time. That got me into it."

Were you doing music before Headrillaz?

Casper:I was playing guitar in a band and I stopped doing it and got a job in a studio, just making cups of tea and stuff. There were bands like Leftfield who used to come in record their stuff, so I got to see how those guys made their music. And I also of course was able to get on the samplers and the decks and stuff and work out how to use it for myself. So I just kind of messed around and got indie deals on singles and stuff like that, releasd a few 12 inches. And then Darius and I hooked up and started to get our own equipment. We went from there doing our own music."
