"As far as I'm concerned, Ruby is Lesley Rankine and Mark Walk and as long as we work together, Ruby will exist." explains Rankine. "We worked so well on developing our own working relationship, it's just better to expand on that on the next one. I kind of don't like working with other people at all, but I definitely don't like working with people I don't know. It helps a lot to have somebody who knows you well."

Rankine doesn't rule out the possibility of performing live with Walk at some point in the future, but she says it would probably be a smaller acoustic thing. As much as she is against people thinking of her as Ruby, the singer acknowledges the possibility for confusion.

"That's just the way you promote it," she explains. "Mark didn't want to come on tour, and I didn't want to be on tour with the same person I worked with in the studio because that would just ruin the relationship. I wanted to at least feel that I have independence, and it makes me feel that I have totall control over it. It's like I'm the one who's saying to the record label 'let's put it out' and Mark wasn't interested in the whole promotional thing."
