En Esch: "We have ok information in Europe, so you get news pretty often from America, but of course it's always the mass murder or high rise on fire or demonstration. I mean, America influenced us a lot, the end of the 60's, the whole political movement, student movement on the streets, as well as the hippie thing and the whole music around it. But basically, we just came here to play and open up for Ministry after they asked us to come over here. We had no plans to settle here, we came to play and we were surprised to have a chance to play right away in front of 500-2000 seats. The feedback was really good, Wax Trax was trying to get us on the label after just licensing our records. Sascha had split from his former girlfriend and was looking for a new scenario, so he first of all decided to hang out here more. I had this bad accident, I suffer still, my wrist is equipped with a metal plate and six screws. After two months in this country I had to jump out of a window to escape from a fire. I woke up in an apartment and was desperate and there was just once chance, to jump, so I was pretty injured and went back to Europe to recover. But we continue to be with an American label so it made more sense to hang out here, then it made sense to go on another tour by ourselves so it made business sense to stay here. After a while, you get used to this kind of life style, it's just more convenient to live here. Right now I have my second long term relationship with an American girl, my fiancée is here, we're going to marry. My connections to Europe are getting less and less and less. I'm just sorry for my parents because they don't see me much anymore. Besides that, I don't miss Germany and I don't consider America to be my home country either, so wherever I'm hanging out is my home."
