"Before that, I really had no interest in electronic music at all," says Marks on emergence of acid house in the late 80's. "Synth pop in the 80's I found really dull and soul-less. But then I started hearing all this electronic stuff which seemed to be completely different, with much stronger grooves and much more feel and really interesting samples thrown in as well. This new technology with samplers that had come about seemed to be offering all sorts of possibilities that just hadn't been there before and I thought, yeah, I'll give that ago. And I've never looked back."
