Throbbing-gristle.com has announced that on November 24th, 2010, Peter Christopherson passed away “peacefully in his sleep” at his home in Bankok. Peter was part of pioneering industrial band Throbbing Gristle, who emerged in 1975. When that group initially broke up in 1981, he briefly joined bandmate Genesis P-Orridge in Psychic TV before forming the highly prolific Coil. Among other things, Peter was also well known as a video director, working with artists ranging from Front 242 to Hanson. Most recently, he was part of the re-united Throbbing Gristle. The group was forced to rebrand themselves as “X-TG” for a series of concerts without Genesis, who mid tour said he was returning home to NY (not quitting the band.) Several recordings X-TG here made available on their website. Peter also had an album in the works for his solo project The Threshold HouseBoys Choir.

Final EON recording made available
November 17, 2010 by adminMark Moore (S’Express) has made available ‘Last Mission Helsinki,’ a track he was working on with the late Ian B Loveday aka EON. Profiled in Chaos Control back in 1993, EON was behind such techno / rave classics as “Spice” and “Basket Case.” Moore posted the following to members of his facebook group.:
“Here is the track that I was working on with Ian B just before he passed away. For a long time I wasn’t able to go back and finish it but here it is now. It’s the last track Eon recorded and I figured it would be good to put it up for all to download. Please feel free to pass it around, I’m sure Ian would be happy to give it out to everyone. (Thanks to Leila Arab and Paul Freegard for post-production tweaks)”
