    June 19, 2006 by admin

Recently, we published an interview with Ghostigital (the new project from Einar Örn from the Sugarcubes.) Right before showtime that night, band member Curver explained a bit about the Ghostigital live set-up. We caught it on video and have posted it below.

  2. Save Screech’s House!

    by admin

savescreechshouse.jpgA few years back we got a chance to speak with Dustin Diamond, better known to most people as Screech from the tv show “Saved By The Bell.” Why were we interviewing Screech? Well he’s also a musician, and his project at the time, Salty The Pocketknife, was actually pretty good. Diamond has unfortunately fallen on some difficult times, and is faced with the possibility of forclosure on his Wisconsin home. To help raise the $250,000 he needs, Diamond is selling “I Paid $15.00 To Save Screech’s House” t-shirts on his website for $15. And he’ll autograph them for an extra $5. To get the whole story, and order shirts, check out his website at getdshirts.com.

  4. Interview with Ghostigital (featuring Einar Örn from the Sugarcubes)

    June 7, 2006 by admin

ghostigital_blog1.jpgGhostigital, the band, is a continuation of “Ghostigital,” the solo album by former Sugarcubes member Einar Örn. A collaboration between Einar and musician Curver, Ghostigital creates unusual free-formed music that makes extensive use of cut-up techniques. Combining live instruments and electronics, the Ghostigital sound has a somewhat improvisational feel. It never feels over-produced, even though editing and manipulation is used extensively in building the tracks. And it provides the perfect outlet for Einar’s unique, often spoken vocals. The band recently did a short American tour, with two dates on the West Coast followed by two on the East. We interviewed them prior to the final show at Maxwell’s (Hoboken, NJ.)

  5. Nitzer Ebb reunion tour, new ‘best of’

    June 5, 2006 by admin

Nitzer Ebb, the British band responsible for such aggro electronic classics as “Join In The Chant” and “Captivate” will soon be embarking on their first tour since the early 90′s. The reunited group will kick things off on June 6 in Haarlem, Holland and end up in New York City on September 17. According to the official Nitzer Ebb website, the shows will focus on their early albums (“so it will be a very electronic sounding show – no guitars!.”) The group also has a new “Best Of” Compilation out called “Body Of Work.” For more info, be sure to check out their webiste!
